UK MOdern slavery act

At MIIKOYA, we are committed to upholding the principles of ethical business conduct and ensuring transparency and accountability throughout our operations. As part of this commitment, we have adopted the following policy statement in compliance with the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015

Policy Statement

MIIKOYA condemns all forms of modern slavery, including forced labor, human trafficking, and exploitation, in all aspects of our business operations and supply chain.

Scope

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and business partners associated with MIIKOYA and extends to all activities conducted on behalf of the company.

Responsibility

MIIKOYA is responsible for ensuring that slavery and human trafficking are not present in our supply chains or any part of our business. Senior management is accountable for implementing and monitoring compliance with this policy.

Due Diligence

MIIKOYA conducts thorough due diligence assessments of our suppliers and business partners to identify and mitigate the risks of modern slavery. We assess suppliers' adherence to ethical labor practices, including their recruitment processes, working conditions, and employment standards.

Supplier Contracts

MIIKOYA includes anti-slavery and human trafficking clauses in all supplier contracts, requiring suppliers to uphold the same ethical standards as we do. We reserve the right to terminate relationships with suppliers who fail to comply with these requirements.

Employee Training

MIIKOYA provides training to employees involved in procurement, supply chain management, and other relevant functions to raise awareness of modern slavery risks and the importance of compliance with this policy.

Reporting Mechanisms

MIIKOYA encourages employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions regarding modern slavery within our operations or supply chain. We maintain confidential reporting mechanisms to facilitate the reporting of such issues.

Continuous Improvement

MIIKOYA is committed to continually improving our anti-slavery efforts and monitoring the effectiveness of our policies and procedures. We regularly review and update this policy to reflect changes in legislation, best practices, and emerging risks.

Communication and Transparency

MIIKOYA communicates our commitment to combating modern slavery through our website, corporate communications, and engagement with stakeholders. We provide transparent information about our efforts to address modern slavery, including our due diligence processes and actions taken to address any identified risks.

Compliance and Enforcement

Non-compliance with this policy may result in disciplinary action, termination of contracts, or legal consequences, as appropriate. MIIKOYA is committed to cooperating with law enforcement authorities and regulatory agencies in the investigation and prosecution of modern slavery offenses.

This policy is endorsed by MIIKOYA's senior management and reflects our unwavering commitment to ethical business practices and respect for human rights. We recognise that eradicating modern slavery requires collective action and ongoing vigilance, and we are dedicated to playing our part in achieving this goal.
